A song and dance drama about the history of Pingtan will be held during the Pingtan International Sand Sculpture Festival.

Pingtan tourism authority unveiled its new tourism logo on May 4, aiming to better promote the zone's characteristic tourism resources.
People who want to visit Pingtan can now enjoy its beautiful landscape at home, as a smart travel system for the zone went online recently.
Pingtan, Fujian province won two awards for excellence in organizing and pavilion design respectively at the 12th Strait Travel Fair held in Xiamen, May 4-8.
Tourism thrived in Pingtan, Fujian province during the May Day holiday, which ran from April 30 to May 2 this year.
