西藏將向中央政府申請(qǐng)超過(guò)2300萬(wàn)元人民幣用來(lái)保護(hù)“紅色遺跡”（革命遺址），第一批保護(hù)工程已經(jīng)啟動(dòng)。
文中的red relics就是指“紅色遺跡”，也就是我們常說(shuō)的“紅色遺產(chǎn)”，所以也稱(chēng)為red heritage或者red sites。Relic除了可以表示具體而有形的“遺物、遺跡”外，還可以表示抽象的“遺風(fēng)、遺俗”，例如：Corporal punishment was a relic of barbarism.（體罰是野蠻文化的遺風(fēng)遺俗。）
西藏保護(hù)的red relics主要就是指revolutionary sites（革命遺址）。組織旅游者參觀red relics的活動(dòng)就稱(chēng)為red tour（紅色旅游）。
