Henan High People’s Court has issued a series of rules - from trial to implementation of sentence - to protect criminals’ rights. They stipulate that defendants should not be required to wear prison jumpsuits, or have their head shaved, when standing trial and that executions should normally be carried out by lethal injection rather than shooting, Xinhua reported.

3-D printers make 10 realistic houses

A private company recently used a set of giant printers to print out 10 full-sized houses in just one day. The stand-alone one-story houses in Shanghai Hi-Tech Industrial Park were created using an intelligent printing array in Suzhou and look like ordinary buildings. LV sues man for selling fakes

A trial for a man accused of counterfeiting Louis Vuitton products took place on Friday in Shenzhen Intermediate People's Court in Guangdong province. Valerie Sonnier, a legal representative of Louis Vuitton, sued Ji Zhibin, claiming he sold fake products using the company's name. Ji, who ran a digital products store in Shenzhen, is suspected of selling fake goods under the LV brand, such as leather covers for tablet computers. The court did not announce a judgment on Friday.

4 go to jail for rape in name of religion

Ining People's Court in Xinjiang?handled two cases in which two suspects were accused of sexually assaulting a female minor in the name of religion, local media reported on Friday. Suspect Aroufujan Mahmut was sentenced to seven years in prison, and Abduwayit Wahaf received 8 years in prison. The other two, Pazrehman Yibulayin and Mamatali Umanjan, were given seven-year sentences, according to the court.
