10 – Africa is a country

I was watching a football match with my friends when a Chinese woman asked us which country we came from. I answered my country and my friend his. But that woman asked among us who is not African, because we are not from same country. My friend asked her 你是什么意思? She answered 非洲對我來說是一個國家 (for me, Africa is a country). This kind of situation happened not only once, but several times. With 54 countries, Africa is an entire continent with more countries in the world than any other continent. In the 21st century still thinking Africa is only one country is absurd.
