Around 600 workers from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan will take part in a cycling race in the Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, Fujian province on April 24.
The news portal Chinanews.com, on April 6 highlighted Pingtan's drastic growth in the past few years and reported that the area has developed from a barren island into a core area for cross-Straits cooperation.
