A chameleon will synthesise an opinion or position from observing those displayed by others in the situation, and forget that position when the social situation is left. The ultimate objective of the social chameleon is to blend into the social situation without disturbing that situation.

“社交變色龍”會(huì)吸納并反應(yīng)所處環(huán)境的情緒和狀態(tài)，而壓抑自己本身的情緒。他們會(huì)觀察該環(huán)境中的其他人的態(tài)度和意見(jiàn)然后綜合表達(dá)出一個(gè)合適的看法，而在他們離開(kāi)那個(gè)社交環(huán)境時(shí)這個(gè)看法便被拋諸腦后。他們的最終目標(biāo)是在不知不覺(jué)的情況下融入這個(gè)社交環(huán)境。
