互聯(lián)網(wǎng)的普及顛覆了傳統(tǒng)媒體的信息傳播方式，新聞不再是單向的，而是雙向互動的。與互聯(lián)網(wǎng)及移動媒體相對的那些傳統(tǒng)媒體就可以叫做legacy media。

Legacy media is the media that is considered "old," such as radio, television, and especially newspapers. With legacy media, the receiver does not contribute or interact with the content and remains totally passive.

Legacy media指收音機、電視，及尤以報紙為代表的“老式”媒體，即“傳統(tǒng)媒體”。傳統(tǒng)媒體的信息接收者不會為媒體貢獻內(nèi)容，也沒有任何互動，完全是被動接收的狀態(tài)。

Legacy media is also slang for Web sites that use outdated technology or presentation styles. It's the opposite of new media.

Legacy media有時也用來指代那些使用過時技術或展現(xiàn)風格的網(wǎng)站，是與新媒體相對的媒體形式。
