China remains a leading global economic power, driven by its highly diverse export portfolio and strong production capabilities, Jostein Hauge, a political economist and assistant professor at the University of Cambridge’s Centre of Development Studies, said in a recent interview with China Daily.
Hauge emphasized that a strong, healthy and developed economy is characterized by a diverse production base, varied export portfolio and strong export presence.
