Over 100 athletes compete in World Games Series 2025 Chengdu

The World Games Series 2025 Chengdu, a prelude to the 2025 Chengdu World Games, kicks off on Friday in Chengdu, Sichuan province, attracting 122 athletes from 28 countries and regions. [Photo provided to chinadaily.com.cn]

The World Games Series 2025 Chengdu kicked off on Friday in Chengdu, Sichuan province, attracting 122 athletes from 28 countries and regions.

From Saturday to Sunday, the athletes will compete at Chengdu Sport University's Sancha Lake campus in three main sports — boules sports, life saving, and underwater sports — across four disciplines: pétanque, freediving, finswimming and pool lifesaving. A total of 30 gold medals will be awarded.
