African doctor aims to spread TCM globally

Diarra Boubacar, born in Mali, West Africa, is the first foreigner to have earned a doctorate in traditional Chinese medicine in China.
He came to China in the 1980s. In 1997, he received a doctoral degree from the Chengdu University of TCM. He offered free medical services to Yunnan's villagers and has trained thousands of rural doctors in the 1990s.
