China Petrochemical Corp, or Sinopec, maintains its crown on the list of the Top 500 Chinese companies co-released by Fortune magazine's Chinese edition and China International Capital Corporation Wealth Management.

China National Petroleum Corp and China State Construction Engineering Corp Ltd took the second and third spots on the list of the top 500 Chinese companies whose total revenue surpassed over half of the country's GDP that broke through 99 trillion yuan ($14.14 trillion) last year.

China's top 500 companies witnessed their total revenue reach 50.5 trillion yuan last year, up 11 percent year-on-year, and net profit reach 4.2 trillion yuan, up more than 16 percent from previous year.
