Sichuan TV Festival set for autumn

The 2019 (15th) Sichuan TV Festival will be held from Oct 30 to Nov 1 this year, it was announced Tuesday at a press conference in Shanghai.
The Sichuan TV Festival is sponsored by the State Administration of Radio and Television and the People's Government of Sichuan province. The annual festival, co-hosted by the Sichuan Radio and Television Bureau and Sichuan Radio and Television Station, has been held 14 times since 1991. It is now an important platform of communication and exchange between industry insiders from home and abroad, and acts as an impetus that "pushes" Chinese culture out of the border and into the world.
This year's festival will focus on four areas, namely gathering excellent TV and radio creations, promoting cultural exchange, pushing forward industrial transformation and emphasizing technological leadership. State of the art technologies, such as VR, AR, 4K/8K and 5G, and their applications in the radio and television industry, will be featured.
A vast variety of activities will be held this year, including a contest for telling Chinese stories to foreign audiences, summits of bureau chiefs, drama industry, documentary media creators, smart radio and television forums, and Belt and Road cultural exchanges.
